UK Parliament week (18th - 24th November 2024)
UK Parliament week (UKPW) is an annual event, spreading the word about what UK Parliament is, what it does and how you can get involved.
The Parish Council is supporting Parliament week to encourage young people in Duffield to find out more about what the Parish Council does for the village.
During Parliament week (18th - 24th November 2024) we are inviting young people living in Duffield or attending Duffield schools (William Gilbert, Duffield Meadows and Ecclesbourne) to find out more by viewing the flyer about the Parish Council's work, visiting the UK Parliament Week website, and sending us your ideas for the future of our village.

Ever wondered exactly what it is the Parish Council does? Why not read our flyer, "What does your Parish Council do?" so you can find out a little bit more.
Once you've read the flyer, get involved by letting us know your ideas.
- Every five years, the Parish Council has to create a Village Action Plan - a guide to future activities and improvements in the village. We will be working to update this very soon - and that's where you come in! What would you like to see in the village? If you could choose one thing to make your life better what would it be and how would you do it? Tell us by writing a proposal, drawing a picture or sending us a photograph or video of your idea.
- Send us some stuff! Why not visit some of the Parish Council spaces listed on the back of the flyer - Eyes Meadow, Duffield Cemetery and Allotments, the Millennium Meadow or Gray's Recreation Ground - and send us your photos, drawings or collages of what you've seen.
To make a submission simply use our online form here and attach your photos or drawings (up to four). If you have more to send than the form allows, send it via email to clerk@duffieldparishcouncil.gov.uk (please let us know your name, age and school in the body of the email).
We look forward to receiving your submissions by 5th January 2025.
