The Gray Recreation Ground

Grays Recreational Ground is located on Snake Lane and is in the heart of Duffield. It is a popular site for the younger members of our village community as it is home to the village children's playground. The play area is designed to be fully inclusive but challenging, and boasts specialist equipment for all ages up to 12 years. It was fully refurbished in 2008 and has many exciting pieces of equipment for children to enjoy. As well as the playground there are also mini football posts on the site together with a large green area which encourage free play for children of all ages. Unfortunately there is no parking on this site. The site is subject to an alcohol designation order, and a control order for dogs, which means all dogs coming onto the site should be kept on a lead.

2022 saw the addition of 5 new pieces of outdoor gym equipment as well as our endurance rig (at the time of installation-this was the only one of its kind in the country) this was thanks to a grant from the National Lottery and includes the basketball hoop. This equipment can be used and enjoyed by older children and adults.
