Flood Alert from Duffield Flood Warden - A flood alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for the River Ecclesbourne, with heavy rainfall predicted from this evening and flooding possible from tomorrow (Wed) afternoon. This corresponds with a yellow warning for heavy rain tomorrow and the first part of Thursday. Predictions from the Met Office at 5pm on Tues are that between 40mm and 70mm of rain could fall over Wednesday and Thursday, with potential for some local areas to receive 100mm.This picture is rapidly changing due to the unpredictable nature of the weather front and it is recommended that you keep track of current Met Office predictions and advice from the Environment Agency.
