Duffield Remembrance Sunday Parade: 14th November 2021

A Remembrance Sunday Parade through Duffield is set to take place for the first time in three years in 2021, after the 2020 parade was brought down by Covid and in 2019 washed out due to flooding at the War Memorial.

The Parade is set to take place on Sunday 14th November, beginning at the Weston Centre at 10:30am. The parade will proceed along Tamworth Street, continue South along Town Street, turn onto Makeney Road at the Baptist Church and then along Church Drive to the War Memorial outside St Alkmund's Parish Church, where a short Service of Remembrance will be held starting at around 10:55am and finishing around 11:15am.

Please remember that these roads will be CLOSED for the duration of the Parade and will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so.

Should anyone wish to join in the Parade, you are more than welcome to do so, but please join towards the end of the parade once the uniformed organisations have passed by.

For more information about the road closures, see the document below.
