Steve and his wife Sarah have been residents of Duffield since 2014 and of Derbyshire for a quarter of a century, having lived in Belper prior. Their three boys attend Meadows primary and Ecclesbourne secondary schools and the whole family are proud and engaged Duffield residents.

Steve runs Cloudbass, an Outside Broadcast company based in Ripley which he started when he was a lecturer at the University of Derby. As a significant Derbyshire employer, Steve understand in particular the needs of small businesses in the village and is keen to support the thriving business and hospitality community.

With a keen interest in renewable technology, Steve wishes to explore ways that local government can empower the community to move to sustainable, yet more cost beneficial forms of energy. He has also led in the community in tackling Anti-Social Behaviour prior to his role on the council.

Steve is a keen motorsport fan, an average badminton player and a composer in whatever occasional free time is left.
